Wet mornings.

When the world slept.

I owned the streets. ...

“Which parts do I love?”

Those protected through time.

Hardly visible. ...

You broke parts of me.

Those I let you.

Believing in a perfection, ...

I still carry parts of you,

With me.

Even as colors fade, ...

Crystalized,

Frozen,

Until tomorrow. ...

Dark.

Cold.

Surrounded. ...

On sunny days,

You wear sunlight.

In winter, ...

Today,

Fading into memories.

Tranquility, ...

Tears that drop.

Naturally.

Beautifully. ...

Snow melting.

Dripping off branches,

Kissing the earth, ...

Open heart.

Quiet mind.

Listening eyes. ...

Images.

Disappearing,

In an orange sky. ...

Burnt.

Used.

Served a purpose. ...

“What am I,

Next to timelessness?”

You are a bird. ...

Unordinary days.

When hearts find their way.

Tingling fingertips, and ...

Foggy,

And clear.

Cloudy, ...

Reach for the sky.

Fall back down.

But soar freely, ...

“Hazy…”

Perhaps I can feel,

Even if unable to see. ...

“Choose.”

To look above,

Or at the horizon. ...

Vanishing into the past.

Where they belong.

Like us. ...
