Left a mark.

For now.

Tomorrow, ...

Wintry sleep.

Icy branches.

A lifeless birdhouse. ...

Memories that glow.

Bringing smiles,

Warming cold, dark nights. ....

If I’m to fly,

Let it be here.

In the cold, ...

What’s that gem you’re protecting?

“My essence.”

What’s that?...

Mirror, mirror, on the street,

Can you show me what I seek?

“Only if you’re willing to see.”

Some days,

Heights look scary,

The world, ...

Aged.

Barely visible.

Listening to tears. ...

Sometimes,

Even majestic trees,

Feel awed, ...

Lost,

In shades of blue.

Turbulent, ...

“Beauty…”

In crumbling walls,

Dying plants, ...

Blue skies.

Snow.

Rocky mountains. ...

Sparkling…

Bitter,

Burning, ...

“Memories frozen in time.”

Numb, icy fingertips.

Warmth of smiles. ...

Things aren’t what they seem.

Reality lies beyond,

What eyes at times, ...

Even stones can glow,

With the warmth,

Of a sun in love. ...

On cold days,

When gusts blow snowflakes

Off mountain tops, ...

Jagged.

Colored.

Gradually breaking apart....

Cover me and sparkle.

I may freeze,

But who cares? ...

Technological advancement.

Humanity progressing.

“A bright future.” ...
