Timeless melodies,

Rarely get old.

They can be played slow, …

One day like the river,

I too will meander and flow,

Knowing the way, …

Looking at the mosaic,

Reminds me of life.

Memories patched together, …

By water’s edge,

I patiently wait,

As the sound of the river, …

To be yellow,

Pink or green.

These days, …

It is the chaos,

Swirling inside me,

That clears the air, …

How wonderful it was,

To play and dream,

Without seeing the cracks, …

Upside down I wait.

And tomorrow,

Is another day, …

Today I bloom,

With a grateful smile,

For all I’ve received, …

Through the unglazed window,

Tranquility seeped in,

As thoughts clouded the mind, …

Protected and alone,

Is where I crave to be.

Mostly. …

Some paths,

Have crossed mine.

And I wonder how life, …

Strange to see,

Old-time soldiers,

Marching in the streets. …

Rusted hinges,

Peeling paint,

Hidden secrets, …

When winters arrives,

I will feel their spirit,

Once more, …

Alone,

Surrounded by those,

She hardly knows. …

Kindness,

Takes many forms.

Even unexpected, …

It is wonderful,

And heart-warming,

To see the new, …

One day long ago,

She carved a heart,

Inside me, …

There is always a way,

To fix the broken.

Perhaps not ideal, …
