#3372 – Fear

From the path,

By the river bank,

It was hard to see,

What lay around me.

So I walked out,

On the narrow ledge,

By the riverbed.

And as I stood there,

Shrouded in tranquility,

Watching the river,

My worries drifted away.

Still,

Later they did return,

But lighter,

Than earlier in the day.

Perhaps nature is the medicine,

For my everyday worries.

I just have to find,

The time and courage,

To walk out on the ledge,

Despite the incessant fear.
