#3075 – Self-Talk
The years,
Like daylight fade.
And as the sun sets,
Waiting,
For a new year,
To turn,
Moments past rewind.
Some bring tears,
A grateful smile,
Or a warm thought,
From unexpected places,
Or now nameless faces.
And when darkness arrives,
With winter’s stillness,
Embracing old memories,
It will be time,
To gratefully toast,
Wish the world well,
And closely hold those,
Whose hearts beat like yours.
