#3059 – Unsophisticated
Sometimes,
On quiet summer days,
We cook and freeze,
For winter’s cold spells.
It is then we recall,
The taste and scent,
Of summer’s sweet crops.
With our neighbors gifts,
It’s hard to go wrong,
And there’s a bond,
Silent and strong.
And during meals,
In wintertime,
We think of them,
With a thankful smile,
Feeling blessed,
To have them in our lives.
