#2862-Thanet
An outsider,
In a foreign land,
Where I left,
Childhood behind.
Surrounded by strangers,
I couldn’t understand,
Learning a new language,
From morning until night.
Bittersweet days,
That taught me life,
It’s daily struggles,
And how to survive.
Now looking back,
I’m grateful for those days,
Having grown and learned,
That beyond mountains,
Beckoning to be climbed,
Await the treasures,
That I crave to find.
